Glad we had a great time!

Ten years ago, today, Dan and I went on our first date.

I remember his cocky swagger, laughing, laughing laughing, and feeling like I was just meeting someone I had already known for a long time (if that makes sense - ha!).

Equally memorable though was the phone conversation leading up to our first date.

Him: Hi this is Dan!

Me: Dan? From work? That Dan? (he had only introduced himself to me once, so I was trying to put a face to the name)

Him: Uh, yeah.

Me: Oh hi.

Him: I was wondering if you'd like to do something sometime? Get dinner or something.

Me: Like a date?

Him: Uh, yeah.

Me: Sure, I guess, why not.

Him: Great.

Me: Are you sure it won't be awkward at the office?

Him (laughing): Well, we'll either have a really bad time and it will be awkward for awhile or we'll have a great time and end up getting married.

And there you have it. The famous last line that came true.
