Cady was born on a Friday, we went home from the hospital Sunday afternoon, and she was readmitted Monday evening due to her jaundice test results from earlier in the day. A normal level for a newborn of her gestation is between 10-12. Anything 12-15 would have put her in treatment. On Monday at noon her level was 18.5, later in the day it was 20.6. Anything prolonged between 20-25 can lead to serious consequences if left untreated. She responded really well to the bilirubin lights and we were released Wednesday evening. In between her time in the isolette, we got to snuggle. :)
